I’m one of those irresponsible types that tries really hard to be responsible. This leads to things like buying 5 pairs of sunglasses a year because I can’t keep track of them, they fall and break (don’t look at my phone… I’m really surprised it’s lasted this long), or the lenses get all scratched up. Last week, I bought a new pair, and it seemed like its fate was doomed like the others, but instead, it has a new home in this new case. I shared the tutorial here with you because taking care of the things we have should always be in vogue.
It may take a little more effort, but those few extra minutes really save you so much time and money in the long run… not to mention cutting down on the new things we buy, helping us consume a little less. I’m working on taking better care of the items I own, because as I mentioned in this post, things are much more disposable now, and items once revered are now tossed in the trash without a second thought. Being conscious of what we buy and care for can sometimes make a world of a difference. I know I’m going to try to be more thankful for the simple objects in my life and the purpose they serve. It may not be a revolution, but the small things really add up in the end. It just takes a lot of people making their own small changes. Who’s with me?
